Arkansas EXCEL CLUB

Join us as we take in the scenic beauty of Petit Jean State Park, October 12-14. We’ll be joining park interpreters for the Senior American Special, including free guided walks, talks, demonstrations and entertainment. All ages are welcome. Contact Petit Jean State Park at (501) 727-5441.

Colorado EXCEL CLUB

29 rigs attended an enthusiastic spring campout at KOA Campgrounds in Colorado City. The 2nd annual Kool Kids Kampout was at Aspen Acres Colorado near Rye, where the wildflowers were spectacular! The weather was outstanding during fall campout at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in Creede. Spring campout will be May 20-22, 2011 at Prospector’s RV Resort at Royal Gorge, in Canon City. Illinois EXCEL CLUB

Sponsored by Mickey and Bonnie Shaw,12 units of the Excel Club of IL met at the privately owned Treasure Lake RV Resort in Branson, Mo. September 9 thru 11, 2011  for the Fall outing. They did an outstanding job.  With all the actives offered in Branson, everyone enjoyed themselves.   Sam and Sharon Stimmel  will be the Wagon Master for the spring outing to be held at Camp Lakewood in Effingham, IL in May 4 -6 2012 with a chili cook off.   Reservations can be made in March 2012. 800-961-1198

Iowa EXCEL CLUB

Iowa held their Excel of Iowa Spring campout at Guthrie Center, Iowa fairgrounds with 35 rigs in attendance. Two couples came for the events with no rig. Members toured the Rose Acres Egg Farm at Guthrie Center and the Guthrie County Historical village& Museum in Panora. A seminar on Hitches was given by Tom from bob & Jo's RV Center. The women enjoyed a trip to Molly's Barn, Gift Store, Log Cabin Quilting and Chuck's Bargain Barn. Training session was held on how to clean up  your computer. A soup and sandwich night was held on Friday and a catered meal was enjoyed on Saturday evening.

Kansas EXCEL CLUB

 
30 members of the Kansas Excel Club met October 7-9th at the Hillside RV Park in Oswego Kansas.  We had a fish fry/covered dish supper on Friday night, followed by our business meeting.  The President, Rex Gilliland opened the meeting.  Jean Schneider, secretary/treasurer, read the reports - which were approved as read.  Vaughn Peterson gave a short talk on Petersons Industry, and how things were going . He is hopeful that things will improve soon. Also they are not sure at this time about the Family Reunion, as they are having problems finding someone to cater. We all hope that issue will be resolved soon.
We discussed new officers for 2012 - and the following people "volunteered", with some persuasion!

Rex thanked several of the members for all their work with the club throughout the year, including Lonnie Schneider for frying the fish.
Bill and Marilyn McGlassen and Gary and Mary Ann Erickson were the food committee, and did a wonderful job of feeding all of us!
The rest of the evening was spent playing "card" bingo.  Darrel Webb did the calling, and did a great job.
On Saturday, we enjoyed a sausage, pancake and scramble egg breakfast prepared by Gillilands, Huddlestons, Ericksons and McGlassons. Following breakfast,  Jean Schneider had a craft,  Most people spent the afternoon touring the area and seeing many of the things the area has to offer.  Saturday evening 28 members had a catered fried chicken meal by Debs catering, followed by a "make your own Sunday" dessert.  We had a drawing for several door prizes, provided by Darrel and Stephanie Bentley, owners of the Chetopa RV  Dealership. That was a very nice suprise - and much appreciated. The evening was spend chatting by the campfire.
Sunday morning we had homemade cinnamon rolls, provided by "Moms Best". Then there was a short church service, let by Richard Stapleton, owner of the RV Park. Then it was time to pack up and head home - fighting the wind, of course!  Everyone seemed to have a great time - and we are looking forward to our next meeting, which will hopefully be at the Family Reunion this spring.

Mid-Atlantic EXCEL CLUB

The Mid-Atlantic Excel Club held our Fall 2011 rally at Mayberry RV Park in Mount Airy, NC during the town’s Mayberry Days Festival.  Members enjoyed the many activities at the festival, including concerts, the Andy Griffith Museum and the festival parade.  We had a barbeque dinner on Saturday night followed by a Pie Social and costume contest, where members came as their favorite Mayberry character.

 Our 2012 rally plans include the Spring rally at Cozy Acres in Powhatan, VA and a Fall rally in Hershey, PA.

Minnesota EXCEL CLUB

The Minnesota Excel Club is having a Summer Gathering. Dates are Aug. 1st through Aug. 6th in Amana, IA. Amana Colonies RV Parks and Event Center. This is open to ALL Excel owners!! Those who wish to attend will be making there own reservation's and will be in with the group if they let them know they are with the Excel Summer Gathering group. We will have full hookup sites close to the meeting building. We get a 10 % group discount and the use of the meting building is included in the price.  No other discounts will apply. The price is 28.80 plus tax. Total of 30.82 give or take a penny or two. We can each reserve for as many of the days as we want, during this time. If you can make it for a night or six I'm sure from what I have heard of the area there is much to do. All Excell owners are invited from all the states, and Canada. We are working on things to do while there. Suggestions are welcome , especially those who have been there. Looking forward to a great time at this event.

Missouri EXCEL CLUB

Nebraska EXCEL CLUB

 The planned campouts of the EXCEL of Nebraska　Chapter for 2011. Our Spring Campout will be June 3 - 5, 2011at Lafayette Park Campgrounds Gothenburg, NE. Our Fall Campout will be September 16 -18, 2011 at Niobrara State Park Niobrara,　NE. New Mexico EXCEL CLUB

In April, the EXCEL CLUB of NM enjoyed the Las Cruces sunshine at their Spring Rally at Hacienda RV Resort. It was also sunny but with a little chill in the air in Bayfield, CO, when club members met at Riverside RV Park in late September. Bayfield was celebrating Heritage Days, so club members were able to join in some local festivities such as a chili supper and entertainment, fireworks show, and watching traditional sheepherders move their flocks through town. The NM Club is making preparations for a holiday get-together and to attend the Reunion in Smith Center, KS next summer-see you there!

South Dakota EXCEL CLUB

11 rigs enjoyed the hospitality of Jack’s Campers Too in Piedmont for fall rally, where we toured a western heritage museum and convoyed through Spearfish Canyon. The fall colors were impressive! Spring Rally will be in Aberdeen in June, with information to come. Winter get together will be at Mr. Gatti’s in McAllen, TX, Feb. 10 at 11:30 am. We hope all winter Excel Texans can join us. Texas EXCEL CLUB

Excel of Texas Spring 2011 Rally will be held April 29,30 and May 1 in San Antonio, Texas at the Blazing Star Resort. We welcome any Exceler in the area to join us. Our Fall 2010 Rally was held in Johnson City, Tx during the Octoberfest in Fredericksburg. We had a great time and enjoyed all the good food and attractions in the area.

Wisconsin EXCEL CLUB

 

May 20-22 saw 82% of our members (that's 14 units!) gather in Prairie du Chien for our spring meeting. We were relocated from Sports Unlimited Campground to Hunters Slough due to the high water along the Mississippi River. Every camper - including the park models - had been removed from the Sports Unlimited park due to the flooding! We were lucky that we had such accommodating hosts who bent over backwards to provide camp sites and meeting facilities for us. We were joined by the Petersons for the weekend and Karen & Larry from Couler Valley RV on Sunday. It turned into a GREAT weekend with gambling close by, river excursions to see eagles on the nest, good food, good fun and open house at Vaughn & Duana's unit. The wood was even dry so there were campfires each evening. 

The summer outing to Shipshewana, IN is scheduled for June 19 thru the 25th or as many days as you want to come. The web site for the campground is amish.org. The phone number is (260)768-4669.
